Claudio Romo

I have been watching this artist for quite some time but have only learned a little bit about him.  He teaches intaglio, lithography and drawing in the Department of Visual Arts at the University of Concepcion, Chile. 

Jose Luis Cuevas, etching & aquatint. Anyone know the title (?)

Sometimes I see a spark of similarity from Jose Luis Cuevas but for the most part Claudio springs off into his own modified world of morbid humanity studies.  I am often lured in by something that is so atrocious to look at yet so beautifully combined with botanical reference and color.
