The Year of the Dragon 2012, Chinese New Year

This is a kite that I actually carried back from my China trip.  I am trying to repair it in celebration of the Chinese New Year
Isn't this a wonderful puppet?  Love the colors.
I couldn't believe the paper cutting craft in China.  Some of them are quite a bit more elaborate than this.

I found this picture of my Chinese kite on a shopping site. Notice how much the colors have faded from hanging in the sun.

I picked up this paragraph and photo from CRI English.com
Some returned migrant workers perform dragon dances to greet the Lantern Festival, a traditional Chinese festival falling on the fifteen day of the first month of the lunar calendar, in Yudu County of east China's Jiangxi Province, Feb. 6, 2009. Nine dragon dance teams formed by returned migrant workers from large cities gathered in Yudu County and took part in the Lantern Festival celebration. About 20 percent returned migrant workers have found new jobs or got employed by themselves in Yudu, a major source of migrant workers. [Photo: Xinhua]

By the way I am a person born in the year of the Dragon.  I am also married to a person who was born the year of the Tiger. We are supposed to be complete opposites and should not be in a relationship.  funny.

Still working on that big stone.  Plan to print soon.
